The Expand The Herd initiative empowers young girls to build confidence, compassion, community and leadership through hands on experience with horses. 

Funded by profits from our brand, we provide opportunities for girls to attend horse camps and connect with animals in a supportive, enriching environment

Our mission is to expand access to horsemanship, nurture and encourage the next generation of riders, and grow a community that believes in supporting and empowering others by giving back.

A portion of every Typical Mare sale goes into the Expand The Herd fund. 

That fund is used to Sponsor horse camp tuition for girls who might not otherwise have access to the opportunity and provides basic camp gear and riding essentials.

We partner with trusted horse camps and instructors who share our passion for growth, kindness, and community.
